Adopting a Pet

Adopting a pet from Oxford-Lafayette Humane Society is easy.

Take a look at our pet list to see who is currently available for adoption, and then come by the shelter to complete an adoption application or download an
adoption application and fax to (662) 236-7633 or bring to the shelter.

All animals are adopted to approved homes only.

All adult animals must be spayed or neutered prior to leaving the shelter; we make absolutely no exceptions to this rule.

Please note the name and I.D. number assigned to the animal you wish to inquire about when calling, faxing, or e-mailing.

Adoption Contract

After meeting your potential pet and completing the adoption application you will meet with an adoption coordinator.

After your adoption application is approved, you will be required to sign an
adoption contract

Please familiarize yourself with the contract in case you have any questions prior to signing it.
